When New Orleans Police Detective Dereck Jacob's is killed in a robbery attempt gone wrong by would-be thieves/criminals, his body is recovered and sent to a secret laboratory where a brilliant and beautiful Dr. Susan Johnson performs a series of surgical procedures and experiments, plus mystical voodoo powers to reanimate Dereck Jacobs into the ultimate crime fighting hero Zombie Man with special abilities, superhuman strength, regenerative healing properties, immunity to every known disease or sickness, and abilities to extract memories from either recently deceased or unconscious individuals.
