Tom Pope lives in New York City. He started his writing career by serving as a freelance journalist, covering the business of healthcare for a number of publications.

He added teaching to his skills by helping high school students with essays in history and literature.

The teaching expanded where he conducted novel writing workshops. His design focused on character development, worldbuilding, and conflict pacing.

This direction prompted his desire to use alternative history in novels. His novels focus on how forces surrounding characters can be changed through nonviolent action. Besides the Violence of Cotton Series, he has recently completed an unpublished work called, Boleyn’s Alternative England, an alternative history of Elizabethan England.

While he uses actual events, his characters face politics, culture, socioeconomics, and ideology from out-of-the-box thinking. His alternative history is a framework to rethink what could have been.  

Born and raised New York'er.  Published my first romance in April 2023 and my second book (not a romance) in November of the same year.  Started late in life but enjoying the trip.

Ryan Lawrence was born and raised in Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He is a 2000 graduate of The University of Guelph in English. Ryan has worn many hats professionally, including working over 12 years as a custom art framer. While writing has always been a part of his life, it was only after leaving this profession that Ryan seriously took his education and passion for writing by the horns and began the journey toward Vindictive, his first novel. Ryan has recently published his second novel, Vindictive Too, continuing his exploration into the theme of revenge.

Since 2002, Ryan has lived in London, Ontario, with his husband, Todd, together since 1997, their cat Dora, and his massive comic book collection that once fell on Todd. He’s okay.

Australian author of young adult fantasy novels, and the father of two young boys.

I was always a voracious reader, and when I retired (the first time) I told myself that I could write a book as good as the ones I was reading.  So I write three novels - all self-published. Mission accomplished. Time to move on to something else.  Fast forward, and I needed another project to keep me busy, so I returned to writing - and studying writing. Fast forward - again. Now I have written 5 more novels, taught creative writing for four years, an written a textbook on novel writing. But I have been writing for my own enjoyment and the sense of accomplishment.  Now, it's time to get serious and learn how to market what I have.  Does anyone both there want to share the journey through marketing a book?
