Sarah Patt earned a master’s degree in Special Education from Simmons College. She is in her sixteenth year of teaching at Landmark School in Massachusetts. She dedicates Dakota to her devoted and loving husband, Michael, and their three adult children, Zachary, Benjamin, and Olivia. During the pandemic, in between writing, Michael's gourmet meals, Olivia's baked goodies, Ben's Scrabble games, and Zach's fitness regimes were her salvation. She is forever grateful and loves her family beyond measure.

Anjali Paul is of Indian origin. She was born in India and went to the U.K. at the age of nine, after having lived in several other countries. She grew up in England, U.K.

Anjali has a B.A. Honours Degree in English Literature, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Film-Making. She is fully qualified to teach any subject within her realm of expertise to adults in further education.

She always wanted to be a writer, so she spent many years developing her talent and learning the craft of writing. She learned how to write in the old-fashioned way — by spending large amounts of time living on the poverty line while spending all her time writing. She learned about life, she learned about people, she learned about herself, and she learned how to write. She hopes you enjoy reading her work, which comes straight from her heart.

At the age of 24 Anjali was in a fire and suffered third degree burns. Extensive skin grafts left most of her body badly scarred, and she bears those scars to this day. It is said that "accidents are no accident" and she found this out for herself when she embarked on her eventful spiritual journey.

She experienced her first Kundalini Awakening at the age of 35. It was life-shattering. She did not know what had happened to her — and neither did anyone else in her world — so she spent the next twenty-five years on a spiritual quest to find out. She was guided, and her spiritual journey led to her unearthing the secrets of Kundalini, the Chakras, and Tantra. In that time, she fought many of her own demons — and won. She became a classically trained, twice-certified Teacher of the Theory, Practice and Philosophy of Yoga and Meditation; and became a Reiki Master Healer and Teacher. She is also a Pranic Healer, and a Vibrational Healer.

Like every child, I had dreams and aspirations. Sometimes those dreams become reality as people grow and sometimes obstacles hinder our path. From the outside looking in we can see a young girl who appears to have just made bad decisions, but from the other side of the glass, you can see a girl who feels scared. The expression "never judge a book by its cover" has a deeper meaning when you see the perception from a new angle. While, we know judgment is only of the Lord, do we not judge each other constantly with our own opinions? Depression doesn't start in the beginning, it develops through time.
