Kilpack holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Westminster University, where he double-majored in communication and philosophy and completed the Honors Program. He later earned a Master of Professional Communication with a writing emphasis. As a high-performing athlete, he qualified to represent the USA in Greco-Roman wrestling. He is happily married to his high-school sweetheart and helped raise five children and five step-children.

It took a while for Bob to know where he wanted to go with his writing. He’s always loved thrillers, but didn’t understand why they never include an inspirational message that can uplift the reader after the suspense is over. His debut novel "The Book of Sonny" was self-published in 2016 and received excellent reviews on Amazon. Bob completed and self-published his second Inspirational thriller "A Deadly Miracle" released 2020 and recently completed and self-published his third inspirational thriller "Killing Love."

Paul's first venture into writing came in the late 1990s when he started on his first book which was titled 'Flipper’s Side'. Published by Scarsdale Books in 2000, this has now sold out. His second work was 'When Push Comes To Shove', which was a diary style book relating to two seasons of following Darlington Football Club. This book was published by G W Belton Ltd in 2003. Paul completed his third book, ‘Give Them Wings’ which is a re-write of ‘Flipper’s Side’ in 2021 and was published in April of that year.

His fourth book, '100 of the Best', which details the author's favourite one hundred Darlington FC matches, was published in October of 2022.
