Iannis studied Creative Writing at Middlesex University in London, UK. He is an award-winning writer and filmmaker. His romantic dramedy script Only Love Matters was produced by KQ Movies and was released internationally on Apple TV 4K, Fantango at Home, and Amazon Prime. It was also screened for the UK Parliament.
Iannis' noir thriller screenplay, Samantha Rutledge P.I., A Killer Case, was a Finalist at the Manhattan Film Festival 2021, and his romantic action-comedy script, Valentina, Relationship Killer, won Best Unproduced Screenplay at the Berlin International Art Film Festival.
Before that, his dramedy screenplay Mary and Dionysus was a Semi-Finalist at the Shore Scripts Feature Screenplay Competition, as well as reaching the Quarterfinals at the Scriptapalooza Screenwriting Competition, and his short film Headz won a Gold Lion Award at the London Film Awards.
On the publishing front, he contributed the short story Aerophobia and the short play Theatre of Crows to the art and fiction anthology A Guide to the Birds of the British Isles, published by Arcimboldi Press in 2018.
He has also written stories for the short story blogs Phobos: Tales of Horror, which features a selection of horror stories, and Motel Medusa, a collection of pulp noir tales.
When not writing screenplays and novels or making films, he scribes short stories and comic books. He also loves to eat and sleep. He’s a sucker for dark chocolate and honey. Finally, he's a firm believer that humankind was at its best during the thousands of years of hunting and gathering, but knows that, unfortunately, he wouldn't last two days alone in the wilderness.
