KD Sherrinford was born and raised in Preston, Lancashire, in The UK. She now resides on The Fylde Coast with her husband, John and their four children. An avid reader from an early age KD became fascinated with the works of Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. She read the entire Doyle canon by age 13. A talented pianist KD played the piano from age six, the music of some of her favourite composers, Beethoven, Schubert, Stephen Foster, and Richard Wagner, feature strongly in her debut novel.  KD had a varied career working with thoroughbred horses and racing greyhounds; she and her husband won the Blackpool Greyhound Derby in 1987. Then to mix things up, KD joined Countrywide and became a Fellow of The National Association of Estate Agents. Retirement finally gave her the time and opportunity to start work on her debut novel. KD was inspired to write Song for Someone after visiting the Sherlock Holmes Museum in 2019. KD was always passionate about writing about Irene Adler; she is such an iconic character." Song for Someone was awarded The Ediotrs Choice Gold Seal Medal of Excellence by Extasy Books in November 2023. it was reviewed by Peter E Blau, head of The Red Circle of Washington, in March 2023, along with KD'S second book in the thrilling Sherlock Holmes and Irene Adler mysteries Christmas at the Saporis. The third in the series " Meet Me In Milan will be published later this summer. Song for Someone will also feature in Stephen Doyles Sherlock Holmes annual review next January.
